JULY 21 - JULY 30
What a crazy two weeks we had.
Monday July 21 - Was a well needed REST DAY. But even on this rest day there was action. We had another round of leagues, a whole camp game of knock out which was won by Albert Ashkenazi and we ended our day with a meeting with Hacham Ovadia Yosef.
Tuesday July 22 - We started our journey of SEA TO SEA. On this first day we hiked Nachal Kziv and ended up at Nahariya beach on the Mediteranian sea.
Wednesday July 23 - We rafted down the Jorden River and met with a Chayelet who gave us an orientation for the upcoming Gadna week.
Thursday July 24 - we ended up on the other side(eastern side) of Israel at the sea of Galile or better know as the Kinneret. We had a great time Banana Boating in the refreshing water. It was very exciting to travel Israel from Sea (Mediteranian) to Sea (Kinneeret).
Friday July 25 - We spent sometime in Geula (which has become a favorite spot for the boys. Even better then Ben Yehuda Street.) and then had some rounds of leagues at Kraft Stadium.
Shabbat July 26 - Our shabbat sing off is really getting heated as the 9th and 10th grade battle it out to see which group sings better to honor the shabbat. Congratulations to Jo Jo Sutton and Eddie Haber for making it into this weeks finals in our Backgamon Tournament. We enjoyed more basketbal and Pizza at Gan Hapamon in Jerusalem. Some boye even joined the Israeli Folk dancing at the park.
Sunday July 27 - Wednesday July 30 - The boys did not know what hit them as we drome up to Basis Jo'ara for our week of Gadna. The boys were given uniforms and were treated with all army protocal. Thier army duty ended with them shooting real M16s at the shooting range. Congratulations to those boys who won certificates of excellence and effort in the army. The week at the arm was tough for them but they all did great and I am very proud of them. On Wednesday after we arrived home and showered The boys were treated to KFC for dinner. It was enjoyed by all.
